New Family Orientation

Scouting lays on the foundation of the Scout Oath and the Scout Law. These are the same for Cub Scouts that bridge into Scouts BSA.

Scout Oath

On my honor I will do my best to do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; to help other people at all times; to keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.

Scout Law

A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.

Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA are different programs part of the Scouting America program.

Scouting America, formerly known as Boy Scouts of America, operates both Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA.

Cub Scouts is for youth grades K-5. It is a year-round, family-friendly program. Activities are used to achieve the aims of Scouting—citizenship training, character development and personal fitness.

Scouts BSA is for ages 11-17. Youth learn responsible citizenship, character development and self-reliance through participation in a wide range of outdoor activities and educational programs.

Fr. Matt Henry - Executive Officer (Leads the Organization that holds the Charter on our Pack)

Jen Pitera - Charter Organization Representative

Represents the Charter Organization (SSJ), approves parent volunteers, liaision between Pack and parish business, helps guide the pack vision.

Chris Buehnerkemper - Cubmaster

In charge of pack programming. Leads alongside the Committee Chair. In charge of Den Leaders and other programming.

Nick Velasquez - Committee Chair

In charge of the business of the pack including committee meetings and other compliance requirements. In charge of other committee members.

Den Leaders

In charge of planning and leading individual den activities. Can be assisted by an Assistant Den Leader

Matt Leonard - Treasurer

In charge of pack finances, collecting dues, balancing bank accounts, managing the pack budget.

Other Committee Members

Include roles such as coordinating outdoor activities, religious emblems, advancement ceremonies, recruitment and welcoming new members, and more.
